My small dreams

My dreams are not lofty

The big ones that need huge shoulders

To carry the weight of the hefty dreams.

Mine are really small, the every day dreams.

That of a small patch of green

With the daffodils, the jasmine and the wild flowers too.

A porch with chairs facing the sun rise

To share the dawn with the cup and company.

Work that adds meaning to my day

Family and friends to share the meal .

Kindness and consideration abound at every turn

Revealing God in the many small things.

A good book to relax

A loving partner to share my life

Children to see the future shine in their eyes.
