Dear God, I now know why
You always prefer to have your abode
On the mountains.
It is to teach us that when we climb up
We should learn to leave our baggage behind.
The material possessions are the easiest
The difficult ones are those of anger
Envy, jealousy, pride and resentment.
All those that make the soul heavy
And drag our feet on the way up.
You want us to fill ourselves
With feelings that make us lighter
The peace and calm,
The happiness and contentment.
Then the dip in sacred water
Washing away all the impurities
Of mind and body
Before entering your shrine
To be one with you.
