Walls of Waves

Sometimes the sea of life

Erects a wave so huge

That it looks like heaven and hell

Have fused together.

The good merged with the bad

To hold us down

With huge waves of walls

All around us

With nothing in sight

But the grey box of depressing walls.

Somewhere deep down

Starts a spark, slowly burning up

Even the most sodden walls

With the urge to break through

So strong and so tough

Yet so fragile and flexible.

Nurture that spark

Guard it with your life

Let it burn the chains of bondage

When water itself becomes it’s fuel

Then see the miracle rising above

Lighting up the entire horizon.
