Move over Wedges, #Healthy Bite

Baked potatoWho does not love potato wedges? I baked them to make them healthier. But the cutting of the wedges took more time for me. So one fine day, I just washed the potatoes, cut them into rounds and tossed them into oven. That is it. Easier, healthier and tastier.

Served with hung curd dip, which is nothing but, curd strained for 20 minutes, some salt and a pinch of basil. Olive oil can be added for additional taste.

Serves 4 for snack.

Medium sized potatoes – 4 washed and scrubbed clean – cut into rounds. Thicker rounds will be soft and thinner ones get crispy. So cut accordingly.

1 table spoon oil

Salt and pepper to taste.

Toss the potato rounds, oil, salt and pepper. Spread them in a single layer on the tray in the oven. Pop them in for 25 minutes at 200 C.

If you want, you can turn them around after 10 min. I don’t. Oven’s are temperamental and adapt to the owner. If you are doing for the first time, keep checking after 15 minutes.
