Brown Rice for mother Earth. We have used a variety called Gandhe Saale, which is a wonderful fragrant rice variety, local to the state of Karnataka.

Always soak the brown rice for at least 4-8 hours before cooking for better results. The ratio of water to rice can be determined after experimenting a few times. First time, I always with with 1:2.5 ratio for rice is to water and drain the excess. Each variety, each crop will have different requirement of water.
