Khakra and Salsa Snack served with News on the side, #Vegan, #HealthyMuchie

A marriage of Gujarati and Mexicana.

A simple snack of Salsa served with Khakra for tea time. Guilt free munchies with a spicy kick. The khakra is store brought and salsa is home made. The web has many recipes if you want to make it from scratch.

One step Salsa — Pulse 1 cup of cubed ripe tomatoes, 1/4 cup of Jalapenos (spicy), 1 small clove of garlic and salt to taste in a blender. We prefer it chunky, so just a few turns will suffice. Few drops of lemon juice if the tomatoes are not tart will spike the taste. I have used the local/desi variety which are quite tart.

Open the packet of Khakra. Spoon the salsa.
Start eating with or without the newspaper on the side.
